Now that springtime is upon us, I'm sure that we're all looking for new innovative ways to revamp our closets without breaking the bank.

I've been a fashion fan for a couple of years now, and here are some of the tips and tricks that I've learned over the years. They make me look fabulous and show-stopping while also saving me a lot of money.

Thrift Store Finds

During college, I had to be quite frugal with my spending. While I was just dipping my toe into fashion, I wanted to find high-quality pieces that didn't cost much. Thrifting is constantly becoming more popular. If you want great quality statement pieces for your closet, I 100% suggest visiting a thrift store. There, you can find designer vintage and discontinued brands that you can't find on the rack anymore. Some pieces might even be handmade and unique. Shopping at a thrift store allows you to develop a fashionable eye for pieces that complement you, your style, and your wallet.

Finding Your Color Palette

If you've seen the rise in popularity of color analysis, then you've most likely looked into learning your color palette. If you've been shopping for makeup before and your brain goes crazy trying to find the correct shade, the best place to begin is by identifying your undertone. If you don't want to pay the high price for a professional analysis, you can find your undertone right from wherever you're sitting. If you look at your wrist and see your veins, you may see one of three colors:

If your veins look green, you have a warm undertone. This means you look good in gold, reds, and earthy tones like warm brown and olive green. Your skin will have a beautiful warm glow and brightness when wearing these colors.

If your veins look blue, that means you have a cooler undertone. You look better in cool colors like silver, pastels, cobalt, and sky blue. You can also add bright pops of jewelry to complete your outfit, giving you a silvery glow.

If your veins don't look clearly like either, and you see a mix of blue and green, then you have a neutral skin tone. This means you can play with all colors of the spectrum. You look especially good in bright jewel tones, which give your skin a nice natural balance.

Be Yourself

Last but not least, my most important tip is to simply be yourself. In my personal opinion, I truly believe that anything will look amazing on a person if they are following their own fashion sense. A lot of the time, people worry about not keeping up with trends or wearing something that isn't in season. Even if those things are true, clothes will always look better on you if they are items you love to wear. You don't always have to be covered in designer brands to look amazing; you don't have to spend a huge amount of money on a single t-shirt to know that you look good. I find pieces that complement me and what I genuinely enjoy about fashion, whether they are old or new, in season or out of season. I wear them because I love them. If I spent too much time worrying about having the newest outfit or needing to look "cool," I'd never make a choice.

Overall, if you love fashion and want to dress and feel better, try small changes like wearing your scarf a different way or turning a dress into a skirt. There are so many ways to revamp your clothing. The amount of money you can save by following these tips is truly revolutionary.
