With many of us renting apartments, still at home, or just looking for fresh new ways to revamp your bedroom that's renter-friendly and doesn't involve a new hole in your wall.
If you're a person who loves to recycle old items in your bedroom like me, or loves to spend too much at the thrift like myself, you tend to end up with a lot of, well... everything. Too many bags, too many belts, and too many beautiful jewelry pieces that you refuse to throw away. Well, with these tips you can not only free up a ton of space in your room, but also help the environment by recycling something old into something bold.
Jewelry Mannequin
I was inspired on the trip to the Brooklyn Flea market. There was this blazer with all these brooches attached to it, and it got me thinking. That old dress form in my mom's room would be perfect.

The form has a soft enough torso to poke earrings into. If yours has a neck, you can put all your necklaces on top. And with chain belts being in style, you can wrap them around too! Each dress base can become an awesome piece of art unique to you. Not only is it beautiful, it's also functional. And for people like myself who struggle with keeping their jewelry organized or knowing what they have, this allows you to have that visual aid. Not to mention, it looks downright amazing.
Bag Holder Bass

I needed a new place to put my bags. Rather than just hanging them off my walls, I needed a sturdy spot, so I recycled my old guitar holders. The guitar
holders that have the neck support are a perfect spot to hang your purses and wallets.
I love to change up my bags often, and this offers the perfect space to do so. And even if you want to show off your love of music and fashion sense, you can mix the two and place your purses on an old guitar.
paper towel holder for bracelets

You have a spot to hang your earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, but what about your bracelets? Well, you do now. Paper towel holders are a great spot to hang your bracelets. It's an easy and fun way to show off your bracelets, perfect if you wear cuffs like myself. But if you do wear fully round bracelets, I'd suggest an old opera candle holder. If you have old Halloween decorations or are just a collector, you have options.
Broach to magnets

Cool decor doesn't have to stop in the bedroom; expand it to your kitchen! If you have old pins and brooches you want to keep but maybe don't have anywhere to wear them, just grab some E6000 and slap a magnet on the back, and presto, you have an awesome new magnet. I love to do this with all my old brooches, but you can also glue on seashells, clay creations, and even old buttons.
From old to bold, you can recycle anything to feel like new again. It's a personal hobby of mine to find a way to reutilize something, and I hope that it will be yours too!
