TikTok is the newest marketing strategy for advertisements. There are multiple opportunities that everybody can have out there on the app. Small creators can promote their small businesses, and larger corporations can as well. They can also team up with huge influencers to have them say something about their product. Sometimes these companies don't have to pay at all, though. People surround videos of a certain product, and that itself is free marketing.
In 2025, TikTok creator Romeo Bingham had posted a video of her singing a little jingle centered around Dr.Pepper. Everybody loved the song, and it went viral quickly, with it hitting over 45 million views. Many people made comments saying that Dr.Pepper needs to use this song in a commercial. After enough people tagged and brought this video to Dr. Pepper's ‘for you’ page, they decided to listen to those comments.
Less than 1 month later, the song “Dr.Pepper Baby” was released and used in their next commercial. This commercial was a national commercial during the College Football Playoff National Championship. Romeo ended up getting paid 2 million dollars for this song. This 11-second song has made her take off and made her a fortune. To this day, she continues to make other songs for various companies, as these businesses are commenting and begging her to “pick me next.”
After most of social media saw this outcome to her video, the 2 million dollars made, people started to create their own small jingles. Hoping to catch the eyes of a corporation willing to use their song. After hundreds of post-nobody songs ended up having the same impact as the original. This outcome ended up giving a bunch of companies free marketing without having to pay anybody for it, and since Dr.Pepper did pay her well for the song, it brings a positive limelight to the company as they are helping a small creator.
